BYW Link AI is a backyard wrestling game for the crew that grew up taping shows in the yard. You get one wrestler and you make him better by wrestling.
Head to head is the main event. Call someone out, or queue up and get matched with whoever is waiting. Your spot in the queue holds for two hours.
A match runs up to twelve exchanges. Each exchange you get a hand of three move cards: one defensive, one balanced, one offensive. You pick, he picks, and the moves resolve together. Neither of you sees the other pick until both are in. Matches end on a pin, a submission, a disqualification, or the twelfth exchange, so a beaten man can still steal one.
The Gauntlet is you against the game: five rounds, each harder than the last. Bank your credits after any win or push on and risk the pot.
XP goes into strength, technique, ring IQ, durability and stamina. Move cards come from levelling, and your deck is six to twelve of them with at least two in each category. A small deck means you draw your best moves constantly and he starts reading you. Twelve keeps you unpredictable but waters it down.
Everything is in 3D: hair, beard, gear, pads, tape, colors. What you set shows in your portrait, your entrance and on live shows. Changing your look is free.
Ring Credits are the only currency, earned from matches, the Gauntlet and the Ring Pass. They buy how you look and how you walk out. Nothing in the shop touches a match, and no pack has ever held a move card.
Brands run live shows on a schedule, titles change hands on them, and every result lands in the Locker Room feed alongside the head to head matches.
